Crop with a focal point instead of blind center-cutting
A fixed center crop can remove the important part of a wide photo, especially if the subject is standing near one edge. This browser tool lets you choose one of nine focal positions. It then extracts the largest matching area around that point and scales it to the selected social size.
Common use cases
- Create a square profile picture from a portrait or landscape photo.
- Turn a wide photo into a 16:9 video thumbnail.
- Prepare a vertical Story or Reel cover.
- Keep a subject visible while filling a social card.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop to a custom size?
This first version includes common social presets. For a custom width and height, use the image resizer with “Fill and crop center.”
Where are my files processed?
In your browser. No image is uploaded to ImgTidy or a third-party processing service.
Does cropping upscale the image?
Yes. The selected crop is scaled to the preset’s output dimensions. If the source crop contains fewer pixels, those pixels are enlarged and may appear softer.
