Resize for a website, form, or social platform
A smaller file is not always the same as smaller dimensions. Resizing controls the number of pixels, which affects how an image fits into a profile, card, thumbnail, upload form, or presentation slide. This tool uses high-quality browser canvas scaling and lets you choose whether the entire image should fit or the frame should be completely filled.
Fit versus fill
Fit preserves the complete image and centers it inside the requested dimensions. If the aspect ratios differ, unused space remains and is transparent for PNG/WebP output or white for JPEG. Fill covers the target dimensions and removes excess edges. It is useful for profile pictures and thumbnails where an empty border would look wrong.

Frequently asked questions
Does resizing improve image quality?
No. Enlarging an image creates more pixels but cannot recover missing detail. Reducing dimensions can make an image appear sharper on screen and will usually reduce file size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The selected image is processed by your browser and is not sent to a remote server.
Why did a PNG exported as JPEG get a white background?
JPEG does not support transparency. The transparent areas are filled with white so the result behaves predictably across websites and apps.
